Steps for Enrollment
The Community School is open to families who are pursuing moral excellence and biblical standards of their children and themselves. Our application process is designed to help the School and applying families to determine if they are like-minded with the practices, purposes and goals of the School and its community.
Therefore, prior to admission, both parents must have successfully completed classes in Growing Kids God's Way¹ and Reflections of Moral Innocence¹ (also known as, Let the Children Come: Along the Virtuous Way and Along the Innocent Way, respectively).
In order to be considered for acceptance into The Community School, an applicant must complete the following steps:
- Both parents must attend Visitation Day
- Both parents must attend the Information Meeting
- Request an application from the School at the Information Meeting.
- Submit the completed application to the School along with a non-refundable $100 per student application fee.
- Complete the two-part evaluation procedure.
Following the two-part evaluation, the family will receive notification regarding the status of their application.
The two-part evaluation consists of the following:
For Kindergarten
Part One:
The Child will be tested for developmental readiness.
Part Two:
The child and parents take part in an interview with a pastoral advisor to determine acceptability into the school.
First Grade and Above
Part One:
The child and parents take part in an interview with a pastoral advisor to determine acceptability into the school.
Part Two:
The child is tested for grade placement after acceptance into the school.
